Winter engagement sessions are not very common in Vancouver, for many obvious reasons. However, when you are graced with sunny weather like this, it makes it very tempting to have more winter sessions. Don't let the sun fool you though, it was definitely cold! Especially when we walked up on the cliff and had to brace some strong winds (scroll to the bottom of the gallery to see), we were left with numb fingers, sniffly noses, and bone chilling goosebumps. But the winter jackets and scarf makes it super cozy and gives it such a different feel to the images, so it was totally worth the chill.
If you are looking at Whytecliff Park as your session location, keep in mind the time of year and how high or low the tide is. During this day, the tide was super high so we were not able to go down to the beach and roam on the rocks. Instead we explored the rocky cliffs instead to make use of the sunshine and setting sun.
Winter sunsets hits a little different and I am totally here for it. I cannot wait to shoot more in the future and to explore this area once again :)
