Most people would be opposed to having a session in the rain. Others embrace it. And then there are sessions like surprise marriage proposal which are slightly more difficult to postpone. When the couple is not local, when things are booked and logistically, it is quite impossible to change dates. Well, I am here to say rain is just rain people! Of course it's not ideal when there won't be an amazing sunset in your photos but it is not the end of the world. We can still have a blast and get creative no matter the weather. It is about embracing the rain and making it work.
The original plan for this proposal was to go to Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver, but because of rain in the forecast and knowing how muddy the trail there gets, we decided on a different lighthouse. Brockton Point Lighthouse in Stanley Park. It's quite the popular spot for non-locals because it's not far from the city center, there are various view you can get from the city skyline, to mountain ranges, to water views and of course the nautical vibe of the lighthouse.
It is safe to say we got quite soaked, it was windy and got quite chilly but we had the best time and I think the photos turned out super well.
