Every wedding is special in its own way but this one was really special. I have known the bride since high school and I am always honoured when I get asked to capture moments like this. There truly is no better compliment then someone trusting you to photograph one of their most important and memorable days.

Right, so where do I even begin. The wedding day was a packed day in the best way. Whenever there is a tea ceremony, it always add a bit of time, especially when there is traditional clothing involved. (So keep that in mind when building your timeline to include tea ceremonies), I truly loved that the groom also wore a traditional outfit because nowadays, many couples like to mix and combine the traditional and modernize it and simply have the groom where a suit. As a result, this wedding was such a treat for me also to be able to witness and photograph, because it really isn't something you see often, especially in Canada. By the way I would like to add that if there's pets, especially a pup involved in your wedding day somehow, you are guaranteed to have at least a good handful of images of them. You can count on that.

The location for the remaining wedding day was at Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver. It is a popular tourism destination for a reason because it really has a breathtaking view. The view never cease to be amazing no matter how many times I have seen it. The panoramic views of Vancouver, the surrounding mountains, the ocean is unlike anything else. One thing to keep in mind if you're looking into this venue as your ceremony, is that the lighting can be a little tough especially with the bright harsh sun. It did pose a little challenge but it still turned out beautifully if I do say so myself. Another thing to consider is the time of the year. This wedding was in August and it definitely was a hot one so consider having cold beverages, fans, access to shade or air conditioning, etc.

It was such a beautiful wedding overall. The sunset was absolutely beautiful, the outdoor dancing as the blue hour set in was magical, and heading down on the gondola to see the city lights the stars and moon in the clear sky was the perfect way to end a long day.
