The wedding of Jen and Chris was one for the books. It was the perfect day, filled with love, laughs, tears, and just pure joy. This wedding in particular was even more special because it was officially the biggest and first full day wedding I led on my own and my sister was the day of coordinator. It was so nice to be able to experience this together and celebrate her friend's wedding.
That alone already made this wedding super special for me personally. However, there are countless other reasons why it truly was one to remember. First of all, the getting ready part of the day was in a beautiful rental in North Vancouver. I truly could not recommend renting a house or an Airbnb versus a hotel room enough. What I love most about this decision by the couple is that it can offer so much more space and room for all the parties involved. This is also perfect for bigger families who can all stay the night there. Getting ready in the same place can still allow for a "first look" to happen. It just requires a little bit more logistics. (That's where I can come in and can help with all that!)
Ah, the ceremony! It's pretty clear in the name, but the view at The View was spectacular, to say the least. It's not a typical layout for a ceremony because each side of the altar was an uneven number, however, nothing can beat that stunning view and it really made no difference or impact. For the portrait sessions, we first headed to the Park and Tilford Gardens. It offers a variety of floral and greenery as well as architectural structures and walkways, and big enough space for group portraits. Our second location was at Lonsdale Pier which is another great location especially if you want to get a nice view of the city.
Truly, this was such a beautiful wedding that I wish we could relive again and again. There was so much love in the room, so much love between Jen and Chris, it really was an amazing celebration. I sometimes get choked up thinking that people trust me to capture one of their most important days. I cannot thank Jen and Chris enough.
