Can this be a more beautiful spot to get engaged? I think not! Fred already had the plan of this location going into our meeting and what a great spot it is, especially with the gorgeous fall colours, the clear reflection, and the fallen leaves in the water. It could not have been more perfect.
Nitobe Memorial Garden, is a hidden gem in the UBC campus. Since it is a garden, it is quite small but super private, very quiet and peaceful. There will be people coming and going but in general, no one stays long so it's a great spot for any type of session. Even within the garden, there are multiple spots that are picture perfect for photos. However, I do think the spot we chose for him to get down on one knee was perfect.
We were so lucky with the weather, with the colours that were still so vibrant. Thanks to a late summer and late fall. I highly recommend this location particularly during this time of year. It's also close enough to other local beaches if you wanted to go to multiple locations for the shoot.
